Rene Cook
Founder
Rene and her family founded Every Girl Counts in 2014 as a result of their desire to help disadvantaged girls in other parts of the world. She’s been married to John for almost 30 years and is the proud mom to three daughters. She is a native Nashvillian and earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business from Belmont University.
Emmanuel Katana
Kenya Project Manager
Emmanuel joined Every Girl Counts in 2017 and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the program in Kenya. He is married to Peris and they have two children. He holds a Diploma in Social Work and is currently pursuing his Degree in Theology at Nairobi Baptist Bible College.
Maureen Kyumwa
Spiritual Coordinator
Maureen joined Every Girl Counts in 2022 and is responsible for the spiritual part of our program. She has previous experience working as the Chaplain at a girls school. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Scott Christian University in Kenya.
Faith Mutua
Administrative Coordinator
Faith joined Every Girl Counts in 2023. Faith serves as our Administrative Coordinator and is the vital academic link between guardians, students, and the schools we partner with. She has a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development.
